Screenplay opening Directly ahead, Warren looked up at the half-torn strips of ceiling wall hanging in static. Chewing strawberry Airwaves gum, half-awake and half-daydreaming, he felt a strange sense of stillness. He wondered if he’d get up and start the motions that meant eventually getting ready for the day ahead, or if he would he just continue to lie there, as if dead. Even the still of the air and the echoed sounds of unseen passing cars every now and again, sometimes muffled by the rumble of a distant aeroplane, seemed to subdue all of his energies.Screenplay opening
